Russia strikes Ukraine’s illegal crossing, Kiev denies incident (full show)

Vladimir Putin is urgently hosting a meeting with Russia's Security Council - as Russian military officials say they destroyed two Ukrainian army vehicles illegally crossing the border. The incident causing five casualties from the Ukrainian military, a report Ukraine so far denies. This as French President Emmanuel Macron says he has brokered a meeting between Joe Biden and Putin. A report the White House says Biden agreed to - "in principal" and will only come after further talks between Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his US counterpart Antony Blinken. Meanwhile, the unofficial Donbass Republics are calling on Putin to recognize them officially. The so-called LPR - Lugansk People's Republic - is asking Russia to recognize their sovereignty -- in order to avoid dragging them into any war with Ukraine, citing that some 300K ethnic Russian's reside in the region. RT’s Murad Gazdiev gives us the report on the ground. Then, Former Pentagon official Michael Maloof and former US Naval Intelligence officer John Jordan join a panel to weigh in.

Over the weekend, police in Canada cracked down on the so-called "Freedom Convoy", a movement of truckers and supporters -- who had occupied the capital of Ottawa -- to protest nationwide vaccine mandates. According to police -- most of the protesters have been removed, and others will continue to be identified and prosecuted in the coming weeks. This -- as the so-called "People's Convoy" begins in California on its slow roll to Washington DC. RT America’s Paxton Boyd has more on the ground in Ottawa.
